Coronavirus Updates and what we are doing as a company to prevent and help customers!


If you are like our team at Kenneth René you have probably been flooded with emails from companies, have seen numerous theories online, and have been scared by the media with people detailing their responses and prevention techniques to the coronavirus. Before I share with you what we are doing at Kenneth René, I want to take a moment to share with you an optimistic thought!


The challenge that this outbreak represents to you, to your family, friends and community is likely not similar to anything you have seen before. All of us currently find ourselves having to process our way through uncertainty, understandable anxiety and heightened risk. At some point though, hopefully sooner rather than later, the world will return to normal. Throughout history, people have always risen to meet whatever challenges have been thrown their way ---- usually emerging stronger than ever.


What is most important to us at Kenneth René is that you stay safe and healthy. To that end, here is what Kenneth René is doing to help ensure the safety and health of our fellow team members and customers and also here are some Answered questions you may need to know about COVID-19.


Can packages from china or anywhere contain the coronavirus? The short and simple answer is NO. As of right now we do have 2 warehouses 1 in the US and 1 in China but as we all know now the virus is in most countries. But in general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on our packages' surfaces, there is very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses spread most often by respiratory droplets from people and can only survive on dry surfaces for 3-24 hours and on metal surfaces for about 3 hours-3 days. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of COVID-19 associated with imported goods according to WHO & CDC. For example: Online Companies like us such as fashion nova, Amazon, and other online businesses that source from China, Our packages have to go through different processes through different post offices and will very unlikely have any Virus. 


What are post offices doing to prevent COVID-19? Post offices everywhere are preventing COVID-19 according to CDC and WHO guidelines. Which means that all packages worldwide are being put through processes to prevent any virus. Team members at all post offices are also taking extra precaution to prevent any spread of COIV-19. For example the shipping company we use at Kenneth René is USPS and they put out this statement on March 4th, 2020 “ Regarding the importation of packages, the CDC states there is likely very low risk that COVID-19 can be spread from products or packaging shipped from China, because of poor survivability of coronaviruses on surfaces.  Also, according to the CDC, there currently is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods; and there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in the United States associated with imported goods.”


Are packages being delayed due to COVID-19? Like every online business we cannot confirm or deny what post offices are currently experiencing or doing with packages during this unpredictable time. As of right now we have extended our processing time to 5-10 business days just in case of any delays from post offices. We have had small delays on a small percentage of orders but so far everything is running very smoothly and most orders are being processed normally at our normal processing time which is 3-5 business days. Delays can happen for numerous reasons and we cannot control what post offices decide to do with our packages during this time. At this time we ask customers to please understand that anything that may or may not happen is completely out of our control and we are doing everything possible to accommodate and help our customers! But we do not want you to panic as we have not had any major issues or delays as of right now. 


On our end at Kenneth René we are also taking certain measures and following CDC guidelines to further prevent COVID-19. The cleanliness of our warehouses and customer packages is top priority for us, our warehouses, packages and products are cleaned and sanitized every day. In addition we are disinfecting frequently touched products, packages, and surfaces in our warehouses. At our headquarters in California we have implemented all guidelines instructed by the CDC and WHO.
